Frogwares Announces February 2023 Release Date For ‘Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened’, New Screenshots Released

Having smashed their Kickstarter goal after only a few days since its launch, Frogwares has narrowed down the release date for their upcoming remake of their 2006 game Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. The Lovecraft/ Sir Arthur Conan Doyle mashup will arrive in February 2023, with the Kickstarter campaign having raised an estimated 320% more than what was initially requested.

“The overall outpouring of support and kind words for the team through this campaign has been overwhelming,” says Sergey Oganesyan of Frogwares. “All of our backers have given us something truly positive to focus on and a safety net that allows us to make the game at our own pace.  We will forever be indebted to these people who came to our side when it felt like our entire lives were falling apart.”

In addition, Frogwares also released new screenshots for Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, which you can find below.

The Awakened puts you up against the legendary Cthulhu Mythos. Holmes must investigate a series of mysterious disappearances that are apparently linked to a dark cult that worships an Ancient God. The pursuit of the truth pushes Sherlock to the verge of madness, and it’s the only story that Watson will never publish.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is currently in development for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
