“Fright Krewe” Trailer – Eli Roth and DreamWorks Unleash an Animated Horror Series for Older Kids

Eli Roth, the director behind Hostel and Cabin Fever, teams up with DreamWorks Animation (Puss in Boots: The Last WishThe Bad Guys) for a new animated horror series for older kids: “Fright Krewe.” Bloody Disgusting has learned this morning that “Fright Krewe” premieres October 2 on Hulu and Peacock, and the official trailer has been unleashed.

“Fright Krewe” is Created and Executive Produced by Eli Roth & James Frey. The series is also Executive Produced by Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco.

In the 10-episode series, ” An ancient prophecy and a Voodoo Queen put misfit teens in charge of saving New Orleans from the biggest demonic threat it’s faced in almost two centuries. But, honestly? Saving the world might be easier than becoming friends.”

This isn’t Roth’s first foray into gateway horror, as the filmmaker previously helmed 2018’s The House with a Clock in Its Walls based on the 1973 novel by John Bellairs. The series is, however, being billed as “DreamWorks’ first-ever animated horror series for older kids.”
