‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’ Exclusive Clip Gives Behind-the-Scenes Look at Animatronics

The puppetry and animatronics work from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop once again steals the spotlight in the sequel Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, now available to rent or purchase on PVOD today.

In celebration, our exclusive featurette peels back the curtain to give a much closer look at what it took to bring Freddy Fazbear, Toy Chica, Foxy the Pirate, and more to life on screen.

In the film from Universal and Blumhouse, “One year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first-ever Fazfest.

“Former security guard Mike and police officer Vanessa have kept the truth from Mike’s 11-year-old sister, Abby, concerning the fate of her animatronic friends.

“But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.”

Emma Tammi returns to direct the sequel from a script by Five Nights at Freddy’s video game creator Scott Cawthon, who co-wrote the first film.

Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Theodus Crane, and Matthew Lillard are back, joined by Skeet UlrichFreddy Carter (“Shadow and Bone”), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), and Megan Fox (Jennifer’s Body).

Cawthon produces alongside Jason Blum. Executive producers include Tammi, Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder, and Marc Mostman.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is already a huge hit. Worldwide, the sequel debuted to $109.1 million. Considering the sequel’s series of cliffhangers, that’s good news.
