Legendary’s Monsterverse expands this coming February with the second season of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” which will mark the return of two kings: Godzilla and Kong!
A new sneak peek video from Apple TV+ gives us our first look at Godzilla in “Legacy of Monsters” Season 2, and you can give that a watch below while you wait for the full trailer.
The 10-episode second season of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” will premiere February 27, 2026 on Apple TV+, with new episodes following every Friday through May 1.
Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm return to star, joined by newcomer Amber Midthunder (Prey).
Season 2 picks up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. Buried secrets are revealed, reuniting our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea.
The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.
Chris Black, who created the series with Matt Fraction, serves as showrunner.
The Monsterverse will continue beyond “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” with next big screen installment Godzilla x Kong: Supernova currently due in theaters on March 26, 2027.
