Fox has released the official trailer for “Fear Factor: The Next Chapter,” a reboot of the reality competition series hosted by “Jackass” star Johnny Knoxville.
In this version, a group of strangers are dropped into a remote location to live together and face mind-blowing stunts, harrowing challenges, and a twisted game of social strategy where trust is fleeting — and fear is a weapon.
Only one contestant conquers all their fears and walks away with the grand prize: $200,000.
As one player says in the trailer, “It’s ‘Fear Factor’ on steroids.”
EW has a breakdown of the 14 contestants, which include:
- Blake, 36, a high school physics teacher
- Chelsea, 34, a Spelling to Communicate practitioner
- Damienne, 30, a salon owner
- Danielle, 41, an aerospace engineer
- Dida, 21, a soccer player
- Ethan, 20, an emergency dispatcher
- Jayleen, 28, a marketing professional
- Jeni, 48, a teacher’s aid
- Kristen, 29, a school counselor
- Lance, 31, a flight attendant
- Rob, 35, an eBike business owner
- Rodney, 59, a retired NYPD detective
- Tyler, 34, a stay-at-home mom
- Zach, 33, an unemployed coal miner.
Your greatest fears return with a new twist on Wednesday, January 14, at 9pm on Fox and streaming on Hulu.
