Evil Dead Rise Digital

In the wake of scaring up over $100 million at the worldwide box office, Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise is now available Digitally at home. It’s coming to 4K and Blu-ray on June 27.

Evil Dead Rise is now available for early Premium Digital Ownership at home for $24.99 and for 48-hour rental via PVOD for $19.99 SRP on participating digital platforms where you purchase movies, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Vudu.

Evil Dead Rise is directed by Lee Cronin, starring Lily Sullivan (“I Met a Girl,” TV’s “Barkskins”) and Alyssa Sutherland (TV’s “New Gold Mountain,” TV’s “Vikings).

From New Line Cinema and Renaissance Pictures, the film also stars Morgan Davies (TV’s “The End,” “Storm Boy”), Gabrielle Echols (“Reminiscence”) and introducing Nell Fisher (“Northspur”). The film was produced by longtime franchise producer Rob Tapert and executive produced by series creator and horror icon Sam Raimi and cult legend and “Ash” himself, Bruce Campbell, along with John Keville, Macdara Kelleher, Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Romel Adam and Victoria Palmeri.

In Evil Dead Rise, the action moves out of the woods and into the city, and tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sullivan and Sutherland, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

Meagan Navarro writes in her Evil Dead Rise review for BD, “Evil Dead Rise is an absolute crowd pleaser that’s best enjoyed with a rowdy crowd of fellow fans.”

Uncork’d Entertainment has released The Curse of Wolf Mountain on Digital and DVD beginning today, the horror film starring genre veterans Danny Trejo and Tobin Bell.

In the film, “a man starts to have vivid dreams about his parents’ death and decides to return to the remote mountain spot where they were killed, with his brother and his brother’s family.”

David Lipper directed this one, written by/starring Keli Price (Just Swipe). Eddie McClintock (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers) and Fernanda Romero also star.

“It’s great to be back in business again with producer, actor and filmmaker David Lipper following the successful release of Hunt Club. While very different from the latter, The Curse of Wolf Mountain is no less as thrilling and star-studded,” said Uncork’d President Keith Leopard.

Organ Trail movie trailer

From director Michael Patrick Jann (Drop Dead Gorgeous, “Reno 911!”, “Daybreak”), horror-western Organ Trail was released in select theaters last month, and it’s coming home this month. Organ Trail will be available to buy on Digital beginning Friday, May 12.

Mather Zickel (BD’s Southbound) stars alongside Olivia Applegate (Love and Death), Clé Bennett (The Man in the High Castle), Zoé De Grand Maison (Riverdale), Nicholas Logan (Dopesick), Sam Trammell (True Blood) and Jessica Frances Dukes (Ozark).

“Abigale and her family fall victim to a ruthless gang while making their way across the Oregon Trail. As the only survivor, she will do whatever it takes to retrieve her one earthly possession, her family’s horse, from the clutches of the bloodthirsty bandits.”

Meg Turner (@inkedwerdsmith) wrote the script.

Up next from Robert Rodriguez is the action thriller Hypnotic, which stars Ben Affleck and will be releasing on 2,000 screens here in the United States by Ketchup Entertainment.

You can expect the film in theaters on Friday, May 12.

Watch the official trailer for Hypnotic below, debuted by IGN. This one looks like a throwback thriller from the 1990s, with William Fichtner perfectly cast as a devilish villain.

In the film, “Determined to find his missing daughter, Austin detective Danny Rourke (Ben Affleck) instead finds himself spiraling down a rabbit hole while investigating a series of reality-bending bank robberies where he will ultimately call into question his most basic assumptions about everything and everyone in his world.

“Aided by Diana Cruz (Alice Braga), an unnervingly gifted psychic, Rourke simultaneously pursues and is pursued by a lethal specter (William Fichtner) – the one man he believes holds the key to finding the missing girl – only to discover more than he ever bargained for.”

Rodriguez co-wrote Hypnotic with Max Borenstein (Kong: Skull Island).

On the small screen, spinoff series, “Fear the Walking Dead,” will be coming to an end with the show’s upcoming eighth season. Season 8 will premiere on Sunday, May 14.
