‘Ecto Edition’ of ‘Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed’ Arrives October 19, Pre-Orders Available This Week

Switch fans will finally get their busting on with IllFonic‘s Ecto Edition of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed next month when it arrives digitally on October 19th. Pre-orders for the Ecto Edition go live on September 28. The game will also be getting a physical release later in 2023 from Nighthawk Interactive.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed – Ecto Edition will include the four previous-released DLC packs, and run at a dynamic resolution from a range of 720 (handheld mode) to 1080p at the maximum 30fps. The Ecto Edition is crossplay enabled, meaning you’ll be able to team up with players on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

In Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed (check out Reyna’s take of the PS5 version), Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore (voiced by Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson, respectively) open the Firehouse to you and the next generation of Ghostbusters. This asymmetrical game of hide and seek is a 4v1 setup where players will either play as part of a team of new Ghostbusters or a Ghost. Either going solo or teaming with up to four friends online, you can also play the offline single-player mode available in the form of AI-assisted play.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is available now on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC via the Epic Games Store.
