‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ is the Official Title of Paramount’s Movie

From Paramount and eOne, the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons live action movie has received its official title today, now called Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

The Dungeons & Dragons movie will release in theaters on March 3, 2023.

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, co-directors of 2018’s hilarious comedy Game Night and writers of Spider-Man: Homecoming, are on board to direct.

Chris Pine is set to star, it was announced some time ago, with Michelle Rodriguez (Resident Evil) and Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) more recently joining the cast.

Hugh Grant and Sophia Lillis (It, It Chapter Two, Gretel & Hansel) had also recently joined the ensemble cast. Last we heard, Grant will be playing the film’s villain.

The upcoming adaptation comes courtesy of Hasbro/eOne and Paramount. The movie, according to a Deadline report, is said to “take a subversive approach to the game.”

Goldstein and Francis Daley are also writing the script.

Designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, Dungeons & Dragons was first published in 1974. Between 2000 and 2012, three Dungeons & Dragons films were released.
