‘Dread X Collection 5’ Pushed to May 20th Release

We’ll have to wait a little bit longer for DreadXP’s Dread X Collection 5, as the anthology has hit a snag. Originally scheduled for release today, Dread X Collection 5 will now instead release on May 20th.

No reason was given for the delay, but it’s probably safe to assume that the two-week bump is mainly for last-minute polish for some of the games in the collection.

If you’re new to the concept of the Dread X Collection series, the whole thing started back in 2020, with indie devs getting together to create short horror games around a common theme. For this fifth iteration, the collection consists of “12 delightfully twisted short-form nightmares” that center around the theme of “entertainment”.

Dread X Collection 5 will bring players to “terrifying locales like haunted nightclubs, dark carnivals, haunted puppet shows, the country Finland in the year 1888, a karaoke bar toilet, and so much more!” Each game in the collection has its unique take on what truly makes a great horror experience.

You can check out the first batch of games in the collection here, and the other half here. And of course, you can do the wishlisting thing on Steam.
