‘Diablo IV’ Server Slam Weekend Coming Next Month Across PC, Consoles

Missed out on the Beta Early Access for Diablo IV? Blizzard is giving fans one more kick at the can before the launch of Diablo IV in June with a Server Slam weekend next month.

In preparation for the game’s launch on June 6, Blizzard will be opening the gates of Hell one more time for everyone to play Diablo IV to test the game’s server infrastructure across PC and consoles. Things will kick off on May 12 at 12pm PDT, and conclude at noon on May 14.

The version of Diablo IV that will be used during the Server Slam will be similar to the version of the game used during the Open Beta weekends, but will include all bug fixes and updates that are included in the Open Beta Retrospective. The game will also allow couch co-op for consoles and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms.

If that’s not enough incentive for you to return to Hell, there are also some new rewards players can earn if they participate:

  • The Initial Casualty title (earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character)
  • The Early Voyager title (earned by reaching Level 20 on one character)
  • The Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic (earned by reaching Level 20 with one character)
  • A new reward: the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy (earned by defeating Ashava with one Level 20 character).

To note, all character progression from the Beta weekends will not carry over into this weekend, so think of it as an opportunity to try a new class/build. You’ll be able to explore the entirety of Fractured Peaks while playing through the Prologue and Act 1. Character level maxes out at Level 20 for this weekend. You can visit the town of Kyovashad to repair and purchase new gear, upgrade your healing potions, and access your Stash.

There are also plenty of Quests to experience Sanctuary’s rich story, World Events to exercise your fighting skills, and Dungeons to loot for legendary gear. The ultimate test comes from the World Boss, Ashava.

Diablo IV is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net. And check out Reyna’s thoughts on the recent Open Beta.
