‘Death Stranding Director’s Cut’ Finally Heads to PC This Spring

For you PC gamers that are bummed out that you never got that shiny new Director’s Cut of Death Stranding when it released for the PlayStation 5 last year, Kojima has heard your plight. Via 505 Games, Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store this Spring.

If you thought the PS5 version looked slick, the upcoming PC version will incorporate Intel’s new Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) graphics technology. Xe Super Sampling uses machine learning to enable players to explore the game’s environments in “high graphical detail along with elevated performance.”

The PC version of Death Stranding Director’s Cut will include a higher frame rate, a Photo Mode, and ultra-wide monitor support. It will also include the cross-over content from Valve’s Half-Life and CD Projekt RED‘s Cyberpunk 2077. You’ll also be able to take advantage of the Social Strand System to stay connected with players from around the globe.

No word on if there will be an upgrade option for existing owners of the original game.

All copies of the Director’s Cut will also include:

  • Selections from “The Art of Death Stranding” digital book (by Titan Books)
  • Backpack patches
  • Bridges Special Delivery Team suit (Gold)
  • BB pod customization (Chiral Gold)
  • Power Gloves (Gold)
  • Bridges Special Delivery Team suit (Silver)
  • BB pod customization (Omnireflector)
  • Power Gloves (Silver)

Death Stranding is also available on the PlayStation 4 (the non-Director’s Cut version).
