David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil) and Dylan Baker (Trick ‘r Treat) are joining the horror anthology podcast Petrified.
Deadline reports that the actors will guest star in the fourth season of the Irish audio drama series, which launches next month.
Created by writer-director Peter Dunne and producer Liam Geraghty, the show explores the chilling tales of ordinary people encountering the supernatural, and their terrifying fates.
Donncha O’Dea, Margaret McAuliffe, Áine Ní Laoghaire, Anna Sheils-McNamee, Gene Rooney, Roseanna Purcell, Amy O’Dwyer, Caitríona Williams, Ste Murray, Deirdre Monaghan, Deborah Wiseman, Georgina McKevitt, Galen Howard, and Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh round out the cast.
“When I had this opportunity presented to get to collaborate with some artists in Ireland, I leapt at the opportunity,” said Dastmalchian. “I really love what those guys make. I think it’s really cool. It reminds me of another time.”
He continues, “I just really savor the idea of people all over the world, but especially transatlantic fans of horror, sitting up late at night in their rooms with their headphones on listening to this show and knowing that I get to be a part of it seemed really cool.”
Petrified is funded in Ireland by Coimisiún na Meán with the TV license fee through Sound & Vision, a funding scheme for programs about Irish culture, heritage, and experience.
