Darth Maul Returns in ‘Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord’ Teaser; Trailer Tomorrow

Darth Maul will return in “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord,” a new Disney+ animated series set after the events of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”

Sam Witwer, who voiced the iconic villain in “The Clone Wars,” Solo: A Star Wars Story, and other Star Wars media, will reprise his role as Maul.

The series sees Maul rising again to lead the underworld factions, plotting to rebuild his criminal syndicate and train a new apprentice on a planet untouched by the Galactic Empire.

Newly minted Lucasfilm President Dave Filoni (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “The Mandalorian”) created “Maul – Shadow Lord.”

Matt Michnovetz (“Star Wars: The Cone Wars,” “24”) serves as head writer with Brad Rau (“Star Wars: The Bad Batch”) as supervising director.

Darth Maul was first introduced Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace and went on to appear in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Star Wars Rebels,” and Solo: A Star Wars Story, along with comics, video games, and more.
