Predator: Badlands will stream on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ internationally next Thursday, February 12.
It joins the rest of the Predator franchise on the streaming services, along with 15 newly added videos in the Predator Creators Collection by pocket.watch on Disney+ and Hulu.
The highest-grossing entry in the franchise’s 38-year history, Predator: Badlands earned $184.5 million worldwide, surpassing the previous record holder, Alien vs. Predator ($177.4M).
Dan Trachtenberg (Prey, 10 Cloverfield Lane) directs from a script written by Patrick Aison (Prey) and Brian Duffield (Love and Monsters).
Set in the future on a remote planet, a young Predator (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Elle Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
Blending themes of survival and self-discovery with intense combat, striking visual effects, and moments of humor, the film deepens Yautja lore with a high-stakes action adventure.
Meagan Navarro wrote in her review, “Trachtenberg and his talented team craft a stunning adventure epic with winsome characters, action, and creatures, but one that’s so drastically different that it’s polarizing.”
Predator: Badlands will be released on physical media on February 17.
