Dan Stevens Joins ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 as The Five Borough Killer

Dan Stevens (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, The Guest) has been cast as a series regular in “Dexter: Resurrection” Season 2.

He’ll play The Five Borough Killer, a serial killer who, much like Zodiac, taunts the police with phone calls threatening the murder of innocent citizens. When he follows through with the awful deeds, the city and the police are terrorized.

Stevens joins Michael C. Hall as the titular serial killer, Uma Thurman as Charley, and Brian Cox as The New York Ripper.

The first season of “Dexter: Resurrection” took place weeks after Dexter Morgan was shot by his own son. He awakens from a coma to find Harrison gone without a trace. Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right.

But closure won’t come easy. When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined — and that the only way out is together.

Season 2 plot details have yet to be revealed. Original “Dexter” showrunner Clyde Phillips is back at the helm.

Executive producers include Hall, Phillips, Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson. Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios produce.

“Dexter: Resurrection” premiered in July to 4.4 million multiplatform viewers in its first seven days and was  renewed for a second season in October.

Stevens other upcoming genre projects include “The Terror: Devil in Silver,” premiering May 7, and Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, due out March 26, 2027.
