The one thing that has kept Chucky alive over the years isn’t voodoo magic but rather the endless ideas of Don Mancini, who consistently keeps the franchise fresh by placing Chucky into wildly unexpected new situations. We’re now three seasons deep into Mancini’s “Chucky” television series, which currently sees the killer doll rampaging through the White House.
What’s next for Chucky? Mancini recently teased that he’s in the early stages of development on a new movie, but that doesn’t mean he’s out of ideas for the small screen slasher series.
Speaking with The Direct, Mancini makes it clear that “Chucky” Season 4 has not yet been ordered by USA/SYFY, but he’s hopeful and excited about the idea he’s already conjured up.
“There’s very little I can say about that. I can’t tell you my idea for Season 4, but I’m really excited about it,” Mancini explains to The Direct in a brand new chat. “I already pitched it to the network. So fingers crossed because it’s something I’d really like to do.”
He continues, “I think it’s really fun, new, and again, another left turn in terms of what we’ve been doing so far. We don’t know the status of the show yet. So again, fingers crossed that we will get picked up, right?”
The back half of “Chucky” Season 3 will bring three more episodes to the table in the coming weeks, with “Panic Room” (Season 3, Episode 6) set to air on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
