Up next from Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, The Shallows) is the Netflix thriller Carry On, and Deadline reports today that Jason Bateman and Taron Egerton are on board to star.
“The thriller centers on Ethan Kopek, a young TSA agent who gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight.”
Deadline notes, “TJ Fixman penned the first draft of the screenplay, with Michael Green doing the most recent polish.” Dylan Clark is on board to produce the movie.
The thriller comes from Netflix and Amblin, part of their new partnership.
Holly Bario will oversee the project on behalf of Amblin. Brian Williams will executive produce via Dylan Clark Productions as will Scott Greenberg and Seth William Meier.
