Remember last year during Summer Games Fest when Brass Token announced their third-person action horror game The Chant? Don’t worry, it’s been a while. Well, developer Brass Token have not only dropped a new teaser trailer for the game courtesy of Gamespot, but have also announced a release date of October 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC!
The Chant is set on a remote spiritual island retreat. As these things go, you soon discover the island’s dark past, and as a result, you’ve got to get out of Dodge. To survive you must craft, fight, and “escape the psychedelic horrors” set loose when a ritual goes wrong and awakens a dimension of cosmic terror. In true Lovecraftian fashion, the dimension feeds off of negative energy. This results in driving you and the others mad by preying on anxieties and fears, manifesting them as interdimensional creatures.
No Steam or Epic Games Store page is available just yet, but with the Summer around the corner, you can bet we’ll be seeing something very soon.
