Blood Sisters: The Ladies of ‘Evil Dead Rise’ Unite With Jane Levy from ‘Evil Dead’ 2013! [Photo]

The Evil Dead franchise has long been a female-forward horror franchise, even with Bruce Campbell typically leading the charge. Ellen Sandweiss, Betsy Baker and Theresa Tilly from Sam Raimi’s original The Evil Dead have been collectively dubbed “The Ladies of The Evil Dead,” and 2013’s remake of course gave us a new franchise icon in Jane Levy’s Mia.

This year’s new movie Evil Dead Rise brings Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan into the mix as the latest ladies of The Evil Dead, and Sutherland just shared a pretty awesome photo over on Twitter this past weekend. Sutherland and Sullivan recently got together with remake star Jane Levy, the trio taking a photo together as the latest “Evil Dead blood sisters.”

To be clear, Jane Levy is NOT featured in Evil Dead Rise, so don’t read too much into the photo. It’s just a fun personal shot from a recent hangout between the three Evil Dead stars.

Can you believe it’s already been TEN YEARS since Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead was released?! Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise is coming exclusively to theaters on April 21, 2023.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for Evil Dead Rise

“In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.”
