Ash From ‘Evil Dead’ Joins ‘All Hell Unleashed’ Fan Game in v6.66 Update [Trailer]

Just like any good horror franchise, you can’t keep ’em dead. Developer Steve McCall has revisited his fan game All Hell Unleashed once again with a v6.66 update, adding in a bunch of new things including the ability to play as Ash Williams from Evil Dead!

Previously, McCall had added a standalone windows port during the summer for his side NES sidescroller.

All Hell Unleashed v6.66 adds the following:

• Alongside the main character, you can now play as Ash Williams from Evil Dead, and Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, each with their own unique intro and ending.
• New Ash Minigame! If Jason gets one, Ash deserves one too!
• Regan from The Exorcist has been added as a hidden boss. Defeating her grants you a secret weapon.
• The Infinite Health Cheat has been refined, resulting in no recoil and no more deaths from falling into gaps.
• On the Hellraiser stage, the Butterball Cenobite replaces the Chatter Beast.
• In Camp Blood Mode, victims now drop hearts and invincibility potions.
• Miscellaneous updates, including new codes in the Special Thanks & Prototype Testers screens, and a tweak to the SKELETAL Game Genie code.

All Hell Unleashed is a callback to classic NES action platformers, pitting you against an all-star cast of the most famous horror icons of all time. Thanks to a sinister cult, Jason, Michael, Freddy, Candyman, Ghostface, Leatherface, Chucky, Pennywise, Pinhead and the Killer Klowns have been summoned thanks to a dimensional rift. And you’ve got to clean up the mess.
