Amanda Peet Joins the Cast of “Fatal Attraction” Series for Paramount+

A series adaptation of Adrian Lyne’s Fatal Attraction is on the way from Paramount+, and Deadline reports this afternoon that Amanda Peet (“The Chair”) has signed on.

Lizzy Caplan (“Castle Rock”) is set to star as female lead Alex, with Joshua Jackson (“Dr. Death”) playing Dan Gallagher. Deadline notes in today’s update, “Peet will play Beth Gallagher, a loyal wife, loving mother and successful small business owner whose world unravels when her husband Dan’s (Jackson) indiscretion threatens to destroy their life together.”

“The series explores the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes towards strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.”

In the 1987 movie…

“A married man’s one-night stand comes back to haunt him when that lover begins to stalk him and his family.”

Alexandra Cunningham and Kevin Hynes (Dirty John) are writing the script, with Cunningham show-running. The movie’s producers, Stanley Jaffe and Sherry Lansing, exec produce.
