Alamo Drafthouse’s Terror Tuesday & Weird Wednesday Expands Nationwide in 2026

Alamo Drafthouse is expanding its Terror Tuesday and Weird Wednesday programming in 2026.

Both series are increasing from a handful of cities to every corporate Alamo theater nationwide, turning select weeknights each month into a celebration of cult cinema.

Terror Tuesday is your chance to catch your favorite horror movie on the big screen or discover a deep cut that will deeply unsettle you for years to come.

January kicks off with The Cat, a 1992 cosmic Hong Kong rampage where an interstellar feline battles a demonic space monster, complete with stop-motion freakouts, gooey creature mayhem, and the most operatic cat-vs-dog showdown imaginable.

Weird Wednesday is a pilgrimage to the genre fringes, from outlaw exploitation to bargain-bin brilliance to cinematic experiments that probably violated several health codes.

January resurrects Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Joe Dante’s defiantly bonkers sequel where every rule from the first film is tossed into a paper shredder and fired out of a confetti cannon. It’s a live-action cartoon that satirizes its own studio but somehow got a studio budget.

Alamo Drafthouse has locations in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Washington DC.
