Kinetic Games and Phasmophobia finished 2025 strong with the launch of the Nell’s Diner DLC and the Switch 2 release announcement, and have hit the ground running this year with a new roadmap to that elusive 1.0 launch. Calling 2026 “the biggest for Phasmophobia yet,” the team laid out the plan for exiting Early Access after 6+ years of development.
Aside from the obvious, Kinetic Games is planning other major updates for the game. That includes a Player Character update, an update to bring Phasmophobia to Unity 6, a netcode update, and with the eventual 1.0 launch, a “horror rework”, lore update and more.
