Sony has more VR horror for PS VR2 fans today with the announcement that Outer Brain Studios’ Organ Quarter is now available for the system. Originally released way back in 2017 on Steam, Organ Quarter has been ported to the PS VR2, courtesy of AMATA Games, which includes support for PS VR2 features such as HMD vibration.
An homage to survival horror experiences of the 90s, Organ Quarter is a survival horror game in which players explore and solve puzzles while immersed in a VR world teeming with horrific creatures. The story involves you having spent weeks and months in isolation in your apartment, as something has happened to your city. It has become infected, with everything from the people to the buildings having become twisted by a disease that may or may not have a motive. You have to venture out to explore a wasteland of a city that’s become a body-horror nightmare in order to find out what happened.
Featuring 5-8 hours of gameplay, Organ Quarter features intricately connected levels that push the horror of invading the player’s physical space with claustrophobic environments and monsters. You’ll be able to fight back thanks to the game’s gun combat, though not every creature you meet will be hostile.
