Suitable Flesh Blu-ray from RLJE Films

Suitable Flesh will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on January 9 via RLJE Films. The horror film is based on H. P. Lovecraft’s 1937 short story “The Thing on the Doorstep.”

Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, Mayhem) directs from a script by Dennis Paoli (Re-Animator, From Beyond). Heather Graham, Judah Lewis, Bruce Davison, Johnathon Schaech, and Barbara Crampton (who also produces) star.

Special features include: a commentary by Lynch, Crampton, and producer Bob Portal; Behind the Scene of Suitable Flesh; an interview with composer Steve Moore, a blooper reel, and a storyboard-to-screen comparison.


Terrifier Coloring Book from Chris Butler

I hope you have a lot of red crayons handy, because Art the Clown has an official coloring book.

Illustrated by Chris Butler, Color the Terrifier features 34 pages of gruesome coloring and activities for $15.


Subspecies Bloodstone Replica from Full Moon

Full Moon has released a full-scale replica of the bloodstone from the Subspecies franchise for $299.95. Limited to 300, it was cast from the screen-used prop.

The light-up statue measures 8.5″ tall, 7″ long, and 5″ wide. A certificate of authenticity signed by director Ted Nicolaou and producer Charles Band is included.


The Mist Poster from Daniel Danger

Daniel Danger has launched pre-orders for The Mist 19×36 posters. The 10-color screen print is available as an art print sans text for $100 or with an additional transparent layer featuring the title and credits for $110. They’re expected to ship by February.


The Raid: Redemption 4K UHD from Sony

The Raid: Redemption blasts onto unrated 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray and Digital) on January 16 via Sony. Iko Uwais, Joe Taslim, Donny Alamsyah, Ray Sahetapy, and Yayan Ruhian star in the 2011 Indonesian action-thriller.

The film is presented in 4K with a new color grade, supervised by writer-director Gareth Evans (V/H/S/2), and Dolby Vision. It features Indonesian Atmos and English 5.1 sound, along with the original and international scores.

Special features include: a commentary by Evans; behind-the-scenes video blogs; multiple featurettes delving into the score with composers Mike Shinoda (of Linkin Park) and Joseph Trapanese (The Witcher, Oblivion); and more.
